Bay Area Friends! Are you looking for the perfect Bay Area weekend getaway? I recently stumbled upon the beauty of Guerneville. Situated on the Russian River, just a little over a hour north of SF and west of Santa Rosa is the cute little quaint town of Guerneville. Check out my blog post on Sausalito too! Ever popped open a bottle of Korbel? Surprise, well the winery is in Guerneville!
Campgrounds, wineries, spas, and river rafting…all can be found in this cute little town. Did I mention the food scene?

Accommodations
If you’re like me, and want the outdoors…but also want some luxury then look no further than Autocamp Russian River. They have several accommodation types for the campgrounds including a luxury yurt like the one we stayed in as well as airstreams, and even a suite! It was the perfect stay with a toddler since he could run wild (along with many other kids) at the campground and there was a cute little play structure.
Dining
The food in Guerneville was phenomenal, especially for such a small town…even though we were camping I opted to only cook breakfast at my campsite and eat both lunch and dinner in the town. This gave us a way to get to check it out and make our overall camp stay a little easier.
Saucy Mama’s – HANDS DOWN…this place must have been the best restaurant in the whole town. If you’re looking for delicious cajun food in the area then this is your place! Go with a group and order a bunch of stuff so you can share, the portions were plenty! We even met the beautiful owner while we enjoyed our dinner. Couldn’t recommend this anymore!
boon eat + drink – Ever eat at a restaurant owned by a Top Chef? Who would’ve thought there was one tucked away in Guerneville! Drop in and grab a drink and some food too! Take a stroll through downtown and check out the cute local stores and boutiques.
BROT – this was a fun casual spot we went to for some beer + snacks!
Baked on the River – If you’re staying at Autocamp then this bakery is conveniently located just across the street from the campgrounds. The perfect place to drop in before your morning hike, kayak, or river float.
